Nic Brown I have no idea who Body Boys are/is but then artist anonymity is part of what makes an Opal Tapes release so alluring. What I do know is that "No Face" is one of the most individualistic and accomplished left-field techno albums I've heard this year. These tracks seem like distortions of something more recognisable, as though they've passed through a gravitational field that pulled all the standard genre tropes oddly out of shape. The vocal samples too sound unintelligible, even alien. Listen carefully. Favorite track: Alone.
